The big game calls for a big meal, and that’s exactly why we’re giving you a heads up on the last day to place your Bacon Explosion order and still have it delivered in time for a Super Bowl feast.
But before we talk business, we recently received an email from a few Bacon Explosion fans in Northern Jersey who were putting together a Bacon Explosion eating challenge, complete with a photographer to capture all the porky details. From the second we received the email, we had our fingers crossed that the pics would reveal snapshots of Snooki and “The Situation” going head-to-head in a bacon-sausage throwdown. Although the Jersey Shore dreams didn’t quite pan out, we did receive some great images of a true Bacon Explosion fan giving his all to prove his friends wrong.
Congrats to JJ Strothers and his valiant effort to eat an entire Bacon Explosion in 45 minutes. He didn’t quite make it, but he’s in good company because to date we have not witnessed anyone who can muscle through the brick wall that hits at 3/4’s the way through. Special thanks to Justin DuBois and Jennifer Spisso for crafting a mighty fine looking Bacon Explosion, and to Nicholas Savioli for capturing the whole thing on film.

Now back to the shipping deadlines. In order to have Bacon Explosion delivered to your doorstep using our standard shipping rates in time for the Super Bowl, you MUST have your order placed by 1:00 pm Central Time on Tuesday, February 2nd. Expedited overnight shipping options will be available for you procrastinators, but that service does carry a surcharge beyond our standard shipping fees and will be handled by special request only. As always, each Bacon Explosion order will be shipped in a large, re-usable, Styrofoam cooler packed with dry ice to keep your meat cool throughout its journey. Sauce and rub orders ship separately from the Bacon Explosion packages, and will be delivered via USPS Priority Mail. Once again, please use the contact form to inquire about expedited shipping rates.

This year’s Super Bowl brought a wave of party pics flowing into our inbox. People all over the world were feasting on our pre-cooked Bacon Explosion, or even smoking up a homemade version of their own. While we always have a blast looking through the fan photos, one particular reader’s photos stood out from the crowd. Not only were these guys rocking a Bacon Explosion at their Super Bowl party, they also sculpted a meat version of the most prestigious award in all of professional sports…the Bacombardi Trophy!
